Personal project during the Christmas period, reproducing and interpreting the famous French Opinel knife.
For fun and as a nod to my jeweler partner, I added gemstones to it.
For fun and as a nod to my jeweler partner, I added gemstones to it.
The aim of this project was to create a realistic and almost advertising-like render.
Referring to online images and a physical object, I found solutions to model the details as well as the small brushes, which are made using a hair particle generation.
After vectorizing the Opinel logo, I created the texture in Substance Painter, alternating between existing materials and manual generation to closely match my reference.
